Shuyinlou
Building
|
|
Located at 77 Tiandeng Lane in Nanshi District, the Shuyui
Lou Building was built in the Qing Dynasty by Shen Chu, the
vice editor-in-chief of the "Complete Library in the Four
Branches of Literature". The brick sculptures in the building
are all precious and unique art works such as delicate lattice
walls and lintels withlively figures. It s history is complete
with great people and events that taken place in the building.
The sculptures that are located near the entrance is detailed
so finely so you can enjoy its culture.

Qiuxia
Pu Garden (Garden of Autumn Clouds)

Located in Chenxiang Town, Jiading County, the Qiuxia Pu Garden(Autumn
Clouds Garden) was built in 1502(Ming Dynasty). It is the
oldest garden in Shanghai. The magnificent Chenghuang(City
God) Temple in the garden is a double-roofed structure. It
is a rare piece in garden architecture in the region south
of Yangtse River.

Toroni
Sutra Stela
|
|
Toroni Sutra Stela of Tang Dynasty The Tang Toroni Sutra Stela,
the earliest one of its kind in existence in Shanghai, was erected
in the 13th of Da Zhong period of the Tang dynasty(859 AD.)
at the site where Zhongshan Primary School of the Songjiang
County is now located. The 9.3m-high stela is a composite erection
of 21 rocky blocks piled up one after another. It displays the
magnificence and architectural beauty with vivid sculptural
designs.

Situated
in Nan Da Street, Chenxiang Town in Jiading County, the Confucian
Temple was built in 1219 (the 12th year of the period of Jiading
in the Southern Song Dynasty).It is the largest temple in
the region south of Yangtse River and was constructed in memory
of Confucius, the great Chinese philosopher and educator.
Inside the temple there are Lingxing Gate, Dacheng Gate, Dacheng
Hall, Minlun Hall and the ancient study.

| The
Yu Yuan, or "Yu the Mandarin's Garden", is characteristic of
the architectural style of the Ming dynasty. It is a private
garden in the southeast of Shanghai, with a history of more
than 400 years. The Garden, reminiscent of those in Suzhou,
features more than 30 halls and pavilions. It is divided into
six parts, each separated by a white brick wall, the top of
which forms and undulating gray dragon. Each part of the park,
although divided, has a balance and harmony creating a unity
of expression. |

Located in the south of Chengzhen Town of Songjiang County,
was constructed during the period from 1662-1722(in the reign
of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty). It was originally the
place where a famous painter named Dong Qichang of Ming dynasty
wrote poems and drank wine. In Qing Dynasty, the owner reconstructed
it in memory of the great poet called Bai Juyi of Tang Dynasty
and named it "Zui Bai Pond".
